Blue-beaked duck

In my post from a couple of days ago, I forgot to mention a rather peculiar duck that was also in the area around the pond. I had never seen one like this before: a blue-beaked duck..

Close-up after the break..

The ‘normal’ kind, with a yellow beak, is very common around here, so I don’t know what’s up with this one. Is it a different species? Or is it a mutant freak?

Oew, I like the sharpness! These are great. Maybe you can catch one, take its DNA, and find the mutant genes ^^. Nice PhD subject ;) . Couldn’t find the name of your duck though, maybe inbreeding ^_^?
I didn’t know the Spar was gone. Is the ‘old’ campus still there? Has it really been that long..

    Keep up the good work!

Thanks, that’s the 70-200 at work right there ;)

Campus is still there, but lots of stuff has moved to the Forum now.. Don’t know when they’ll start tearing stuff down, probably still a while before that happens..
